At the beginning of the business, in order to change the local tea industry's situation of "low yield, low efficiency, and low technological content," Huang Rongxiong led tea farmers to seek development together with a "company + farmer" model. Over time, the recognition of Huang Rongxiong and the Lijiang Tea Factory by local tea farmers has been increasing.
"Since 2014, there have been bosses collecting ancient tree tea. The picking time for ancient tree tea is about 20 days, and if there are more, several hundred pounds of fresh tea can be picked, with earnings reaching tens of thousands of yuan," said a tea farmer from Jiangdi Village.
Currently, there are 315 tea farmers actively participating in the tea industry locally, covering over 3,000 acres of tea planting area among surrounding farmers.
Every year, the tea factory purchases a large amount of wild ancient tree tea from local farmers. This not only brings considerable income to the farmers, with an annual revenue exceeding 2.8 million yuan, but also ensures that the tea farmers have stable work throughout the year.
After more than twenty years of hard work, the Lijiang Tea Factory has received numerous honors, and Huang Rongxiong has been awarded the title of the fourth batch of "Guangxi Tea Masters" by the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Tea Society. This is a recognition of Huang Rongxiong and his company's commitment to tea quality and brand, as well as the best testament to the inheritance and promotion of the Chinese craftsman spirit. With the concept of "tea tourism integration" gradually emerging, Huang Rongxiong's vision for supporting rural revitalization has become increasingly firm.
"We want to use the complex as a medium to provide a platform for tourists from all over the world. They can personally experience the entire tea-making process and know what tea we have in Guilin." Huang Rongxiong, founder of Guilin Lijiang Tea Factory Co., Ltd., told reporters.
At present, the tea factory is building a complex that integrates diversified functions such as tourist sightseeing, tea culture promotion, osmanthus tea production line, traditional Liubao tea demonstration, experience area, tea tasting area and product sales area. Make public brands such as Guangxi Liubao Tea, Guilin Osmanthus Tea, and Longji Tea better meet the needs of tea consumers in the new era and promote the integrated development of the primary, secondary and tertiary industries.
In recent years, Longsheng has introduced a tea development reward and subsidy policy based on the development concept of "ecological county, green rise" and the development idea of "two teas, one fruit and characteristic breeding", and developed tea as a key agricultural industry.
As of 2023, the total area of terraced tea gardens in the county is about 17,000 mu, and the total area of tea in the county, including wild tea and ancient tree tea, is about 20,000 mu. There are more than 30 tea processing enterprises of all sizes and 15 professional tea cooperatives in the county, producing about 300 tons of dry raw tea, with a green tea output value of about 30 million yuan and finished tea sales revenue of about 50 million yuan.
