Taste Description: |
The tea flavor is similar to Pu'er, and some customers say it tastes like unsweetened Wanglaoji or Banlangen! |
This special grade insect tea is quite resistant to brewing using the Gongfu tea method. Use 2-3 grams of insect tea, brew with about 170 ml of boiling water, and steep for about 10 seconds for the first brew, adding 5 seconds for each subsequent brew. The following image shows the color of the tea from the 1st to the 5th brew, which is enough to reflect the quality of this insect tea!
The tea color is transparent, reddish-brown, and oily, with a smooth and delicate mouthfeel, rich and sweet, without any off-flavors. It has a gentle medicinal aroma. It enters thick and smooth, sweet and moist, sliding into the stomach without needing to swallow. It is a high-quality tea soup with a golden edge. It is not the kind of low-quality insect dung tea that is thin in taste, lacks sweetness, and has no thickness.
[Insect Dung Tea (also known asBlack Dragon Pearl)] |
|
This tea is produced in the primitive forests of northwest Guangxi. Local mountain people collect wild vines, wild tea, Hua Xiang trees, and other plants from the forest and pile them together, which attracts many small black insects. The small black insects hide among them and continuously eat the branches and leaves of these plants while excreting tiny particles of insect dung smaller than black sesame seeds. Once the accumulated insect dung is slightly dry, the mountain people take it out, dry it or roast it, and after removing impurities, they obtain the shiny black 'Black Dragon Pearl' tea raw material—Insect Dung Tea. When mentioning 'insect dung', many people might associate it with smell and dirt, but that's not the case. It carries an elegant aged aroma, a rich and slightly sweet flavor, and a thick mouthfeel. The tea color is deep and dark, with a unique flavor. After drinking several cups, there is no feeling of greasiness; instead, one feels uplifted and mentally clear. |
Main ingredient of insect tea: Hua Xiang leaves |
